Charming Time in Equally Charming Town
![]() |
| I made this pretzel at the Julius Sturgis Pretzel Bakery. It’s nice to have a fall back profession. |
I attended the Lititz Chocolate Walk as previously promised in an earlier post. This year’s walk had an unprecedented 27 sites to visit. The town was literally swamped with thousands of people from all over the region.
I met the great-great-granddaughter of the founder of Julius SturgisPretzel Bakery where the first commercially produced pretzel was born, the president of the Lititz Historical Foundation, the owner of the Café Chocolate (a wonderful woman of immense character and charm from Hong Kong) and at the Wilbur Chocolate Factory, I met a woman skilled in the arts of writing, baking and making chocolate.
That’s a good day.

| This is a cake. If you think that’s someting, wait until I tell you about the woman who made it. |
Plus, there were so many attractive single women it was hard to concentrate. Seriously. An even better day, also quite seriously. But will I ever find the right one? Hope lives on.
I can’t wait to tell this story, but it almost seems like too much for a blog to detail it all. It’s quite possible that I’ll be doing many, many posts about this town that I consider my home away from home.
Some people in Lititz read my earlier posts and knew me immediately. If I missed you this time, I guarantee that I will be at the Café Chocolate at noon on December 21st as always eating one of my favorite meals. Stop by and say hello.
In the meantime, look for a great post on Friday.
