So where is the hologram coming from? Wouldn’t it have to be transmitted from somewhere? Is that God?

Great question Jaime! Thanks JDR & Jeff!

I want to caution everyone that this is all theoretical, albeit with a very strong basis in research. The noise in the GEO600 could potentially come from another source, but I’ll be watching to see what they figure out. If it’s not from another source, it could be the greatest discovery of this century.

Jaimie, yes, there would have to be a transmission source. I’ll leave it to you to answer the question about God. It would certainly make sense though.

Wow. I’m surprised at the response on this one. I like how you managed to (almost) cross-reference this blog entry with the “Schroedinger’s Romantic Cat” blog entry from a while back.

NRF,

You’re a faithful reader! Thanks. That was one of my earliest posts.

Schroedinger’s Romantic Cat is an idea for a fiction piece based upon the idea of entanglement and that two minds can be connected by virture of intention regardless of distance. So you’re right, it’s very closely related.

There’s some interesting research in which two people intend to be connected to each other mentally are hooked up to EEG machines that read brain waves. When separated, one of the subjects is shown a computer monitor that periodically displays a random flash of light. The viewers brain registers the flash, but so does the control person’s brain even though that subject never sees the flash. It’s called “evoke potential.”

I could do an article on that research if anyone’s interested.
